“Thank you yelp!!!!!! Seriously, I don’t know where I’d be now without Yelp. After having the worst experience from laser hair removal on my face, which by the way causes any naturally fine hair on your face or body to grow at super fast speeds, I thought I was out of options. Before laser, I didn’t have any issues with facial hair; after laser, I could actually see very fine hairs growing abnormally long. Even though I’ve heard of electrolysis years ago, I assumed it would be expensive and required too much time for each hair. Well, that may be the case with some electrologists, but fortunately I found a very qualified electrologist whom has genuinely helped me rid of unwanted hair on my face and body. Initially I was planning on doing just my face, but after seeing how quick and effective and PAINLESS it is, I decided to do my bikini area too. It’s also far more cost-effective when compared to laser”

“Cristina is truly exceptional when it comes to electrolysis. I had been seeing Cristina in Houston but am willing to drive to Austin to get treated by her! (That’s how much I will vouch for her). I recommend her work without reservation. As if that wasn’t enough, Cristina is truly personable and a superb provider of customer service. Also, Cristina is licensed to do what she does. There are many people who claim to know electrolysis that are not only not knowledgeable but haven’t had the appropriate training to be licensed and be able to do this work and do it right. Cristina is not only licensed but is also called on t educate newcomers onto the field.

It all begins with a dream...

to be hair free!

TRACK RECORD

With a proven track record since 1875, electrolysis is the only FDA-approved hair removal method that can permanently remove unwanted hair. Not even laser can achieve permanent results. Electroepilation (Electrolysis) is the only permanent hair removal method known to be effective on all skin and hair types, regardless of the treated area. Over the years, epilating machines have continually become more effective and comfortable. And with new technologies at our disposal, Electrolysis can offer all ages and genders highly effective treatments with minimal to zero discomfort. There are even insulated probes that protect the skin surface while providing extra comfort and effectiveness. Electrolysis is, therefore, the ideal method to rid everyone of unwanted hair for life. Although it requires commitment, electrolysis is safe and has no side effects.

CHOOSE THE RIGHT ELECTROLOGIST

Electrolysis is safe and effective when performed by an electrologist who is board certified. It is important to find an electrologist who is a CPE (a national Certified Professional Electrologist). This means that they have passed a national exam and keep up with required continuing education to maintain the CPE status. Since Texas lacks a requirement for electrologists to be CPEs, when choosing an electrologist it is important to inquire whether they have the national CPE credential. IBC is one of the few clinics in Central Texas that is staffed with a CPE. The Apilus X-Cell epilator from Dectro is currently the most effective and comfortable machine available for electrolysis treatments. In Central Texas, only IBC has the Apilus X-Cell, In Texas and the surrounding states only IBC has an electrologist that is an Académie Apilus National Trainer. This combination of high levels of expertise and cutting edge equipment are rare and, outside of IBC, exist only on the east and west coasts and in Canada. This is why IBC has clients from all parts of the country who travel to Austin to address their unwanted hair needs. IBC strictly adheres to the Infection Control Standards set forth by the American Electrology Association, and close attention is also given to other infection control measures, including hand washing, gloves, sterile/disposable probes and sterilization of instruments, to name a few.
